Power

What is the power industry?

The power industry involves companies that generate, transmit, distribute, and sell electric power to the public. It is a public utility that harnesses energy for human use and consumption. Power used by plants can be through renewable or nonrenewable sources, such as a coal-fired power plant, a nuclear power plant, geothermal, wind, solar, and the like. This same industry is also responsible in providing power (gas or electric) to homes or businesses.
The demolition and dismantling of energy-providing facilities is a delicate operation requiring specific knowledge and expertise. Power plants offer their own unique challenges that must be considered when it comes to demolition and dismantling in order to avoid any disastrous consequences to the workers or the public. As with all projects involving toxic or hazardous materials or substances, this is a job strictly left to professionals.
